THE INSPIRATION FOR SHECANCER WAS BORN FROM A DEEPLY PERSONAL JOURNEY
During her own treatment for breast cancer, founder Maria discovered a significant gap in the market for UPF clothing specifically designed for women in her situation. This experience led her to create a line that not only offers vital sun protection but also serves as a source of empowerment and encouragement. Hear her story below.

Our Why
In June of 2022, Maria our Founder, was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. After much research into sun protection for cancer patients, Maria found there was a need for quality UPF clothing geared toward women in her same situation.
She also wanted to remind them it isn't a CANTcer diagnosis, SHE CAN do anything. Thus, the creation of SHECANcer, quality sun protection in our signature pinks and purple, for those Friends In Need going through cancer treatment.
We want to show fellow cancer thrivers, survivors and supporters, you CAN continue to do what you love (and in many cases, that means being outside, and feeling the sun on your skin-but safely).

10% of the proceeds are dedicated to donating these same shirts to women undergoing chemotherapy and other sun-sensitive treatments.

This onesie is a game changer! It fits my son perfectly, and I did size up when I initially got it. I got the 9-12M size, and my son is now 10 M. It fits PERFECTLY! Anytime we go outside, whether it's the pool or my other kids' baseball games, I know he isn't sunburned from being outside all day. I don't have to worry about putting sunscreen all over now, which is great because he hates it when I do. It's comfortable, easy to clean, and, of course, ABORABLE. I'm waiting patiently for the baby bucket hats because that is my next purchase 😂
Every shirt I get is better than the next! The colors are amazing! They do not fade! And the fabric is so soft and does not pull or snag! I have an annual kayak trip to Florida with 6-12 friends. Each ordered a shirt for this year and everyone loved their shirt!
